Symptoms of pain in a dog include:
- panting or open-mouth breathing
- constantly licking a particular area
- hiding or avoiding interaction with family
- irritability when touched
- not eating
- not being able to enjoy a daily walk
Is your dog eating less than usual?
Does your dog need hand feeding or needs to be enticed to eat?
Does your dog display obvious physical signs of malnutrition?
Does your dog drink less liquid than typical?
Does your dog require Clysis (subcutaneous fluids)?
Is your dog urinating or defecating normally, or is it reduced?
Does your dog interact normally with the family and other pets?
Do they hide in the closet or under the bed?
Does your dog have difficulty getting around?
Do they have difficulty getting up, into a position to eliminate?
Do they only want short walks only?
Do they desire to do their favourite activities more days than not?
Do they appear to be able to walk, eat, bark, and interact as normal, or recduced?
